WARNING:
Since CT60-TOS v1.02 or later, the image format inside the flash has changed, it is now compressed and that makes it impossible to just replace the image.

NEVER USE THIS TOOL ON NEW FLASH FILES - IT WILL NOT WORK.

CTPic is a small utility to exchange the boot image on CT60. The procedure is relatively simple, you need a valid Targa image and an original copy of ct60tos.bin.

Hardware wise you need an Atari with 68020 or better to run CTPic, and naturally a CT60 to use the resulting flashrom file.

History
Well honestly, the original CT60 boot image is very colourful and all, but not very appealing. We also use our Ataris for sticking out a bit from the crowd, and wouldn't be nice to stick out a little bit more with your own boot-up picture? Well here you got the chance anyway.

Limitations
In the ct60tos.bin file is a complete 320x240 Targa image. This utility simply locates it and overwrites it with the Targa of you choice. You have to flash your CT60 with the new file for any effect to take place.

When you have done it you will notice that the (ugly) Motorola logo and Super-speeder text are still copied on top of your image. Yes, this is a limit not yet fixed. Unfortenly these bits of the boot image are not a part of the actual background image.

WARNING
You are using patched flash files AT YOUR OWN RISK! I have used it with the latest ct60tos.bin and it have worked fine FOR ME. However, we leave no warranty at all that it will work for you.

If everything fails, you can enter 68030-mode and reflash with the original flash image.
